17th/18th-century fine-painter and master draughtsman Willem van Mieris, once lived, has been sold by the university to one of its professors. The Print Room, which has been housed there for almost 30 years, will be incorporated in the University Library adjacent to the Department of manuscripts and old printed books. The transfer of the collections will take place in November and December 2002. The Print Room will be re-openend to the public on 9 January 2003.
